Preparing people and workplaces to prevent, recognise, and respond to electric vehicle and battery fire risks.

Lithium-ion batteries power almost everything in today’s workplaces — from handheld tools and delivery vehicles to forklifts and EVs — but with that power comes risk.

EV FireSafe is proud to launch EV FireSafe Ready Workplaces, a collaboration with Unite the Union, to design and develop evidence-based training programs that make workplaces safer around lithium-ion battery and EV fire risks.

Through online training backed by expert insights, EV FireSafe Ready Workplaces empowers organisations and employees to protect themselves in an electrified world.

Who is EV FireSafe?

We're a team of firefighters and battery fire experts who've been researching, burning, tearing down and examining EVs since 2018. Our research is funded by the Australian Department of Defence and have worked with government departments, critical infrastructure clients and emergency agencies to build awareness and enhance safety all over the world.

We're very proud to be working with Unite the Union to develop training for workplaces!

What type of training do you develop?

Our team along with other global experts specialise in data-driven online training that is accessible, self-guided and makes complex topics nice and simple! 

Our training courses are based on our extensive experience, data and globally emerging best practice. In may cases, we’re setting the global standard in EV fire safety and response, and have built out frameworks and evidence-based assessment tools designed to protect people and property.

Are these courses accredited or have CPD points?

When you train with us we'll provide an EV FireSafe Recognised, Verified or Endorsed Certificate of Completion which is globally acknowledged.

Please note, there are no formal accreditation standards for the type of courses we run (anywhere in the world...yet!).

On all topics, we aim to set the global standard in EV fire training.

Do you sell EV fire blankets or extinguishers?

We're very proud of our global research into EV battery fires (read more about that here) which is funded by the Australian Department of Defence. That funding means the knowledge we share with you here is completely independent and not influenced by products or sales.
